Before I sign...
I appreciate any help with this and I am a few days new to this forum and BMW's in general. I am scheduled to pickup a MG f80 (manual) in Munich in April. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this. The only options I checked off for it are the manual trans. moonroof and power rear sunshade...thats it. Yesterday the purchase agreement was emailed to me. To my surprise it is higher than I expected. Given that the euro delivery Munich pickup price is 60,800 I figured with taxes that it would still be a deal, expensive but a better deal. Here is the figure from the purchase agreement. The total sales price including taxes, proc/doc fees is $68224.49. According to the purchase details the retail price is 67,220.00 and the sales price is 64,020.00. Am I correct to question this? Keep in mind the car has NO options but a $500 power rear sunshade. Thanks to all

With any contract, understand and make sure you agree with the terms/numbers before signing.
Question everything until you are satisfied. No one else is looking out for you. Good luck! |

You can estimate your lease payment by using some of the bank websites. For a sanity/basic calculation you will need to know: MSRP, sales price, money factor (buy it rate for good credit), sales tax %, and residual value. You can find the current lease rates in the 2017 pricing thread in the delivery section of this forum.
For a detailed calculation - ask the dealer for a break down of all their fees, here are a few that comes to mind: Acquisition fee Administration/dealer fee Doc fee License and registration fees I hope this helps! Good luck! |

Don't forget destination and delivery fee. No discount on that.

Please upload the contract( Blackout your personal details)? What's your sales tax? No enough details. The two options are free, and 500 bucks for PRS. I come out to $62,295 including shipping at 995. Which works to 5,929.49 in taxes and doc fees lets assume doc fees are 400 bucks. Which that works out to about a 7.8-9% tax. Are you trading in a car? I would add the HK audio for 900 bucks its well worth it. Additional ask for 2k over EU invoice not EU Delivery Also look here to see what others are getting on 17s http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1272046 |

My mistake, I figured out what's wrong. The $60,800 is the base MSRP, then you add your package options from there. So, you're total Euro price is:
M3 base price: $60,800 Mineral gray metallic $700 Black extended leather $950 Power rear sunshade $575 Destination charge $995 Total ED sales price: $64,020...the taxes+doc/fees are an additional 4K. I really appreciate everyone's help. |

This is where I start to get a little lost. I can tell the dealer wasn't interested when I mentioned ED so they tried to sell me a 340i they had on the lot. Ive been researching but am unable to find the ED invoice prices. Is that the standard for which I should be negotiating price?

For others on this thread, remember that M cars come out of dealers allocation when doing Euro Delivery, so many dealers simply dont want to do that, because they are losing an M car they could sell here in the states. I dont know what is "standard" for a Euro Delivery M3 but I would imagine its somewhere around 2k over ED Invoice or even a little higher.. given the Allocation issue I just mentioned. OP, Euro Delivery discount is about 5% off US MSRP. There are formulas out there if you search for them (not sure where they are on this forum but I know they are there on the "other" big bmw forum. The price of the car you were looking at is base price + options so I think you figured out where the difference was (because then you need to add tax etc as well). It sounds like you already "have a deal" so to speak though with the dealership? |

The dealer should show you an ED invoice price sheet. Just like the MSRP sheet. That way it is cut and dry. I paid 1250 over invoice.but this was my 2nd ED in 2 years. My first was 1500 over ED i have also bought other cars there. That being said even if this is your first the should show you both prices..but you might have to ask them. After you ask if they dont show you i would ask for mgr. Or walk away. There are other dealers.

Think that works for "regular" BMWs but not hot ones (like G30 5 series) or M's but that would be a question for someone like golfrr. |

Bmw changed from 7% (.93) to a 5% discount last year. So that article is a little outdated. Just ask the dealer to show you ED invoice if they dont i would look elsewhere

I've confirmed that directly with my BMW NA contacts in the past. Thus the ability to extract Invoice + reasonable ($500-$1.5K) markup from dealers on ED orders. Now, placing an ED order does take a little bit of a different paperwork path, so if you run into an SA who hasn't done this before - run (and find another SA/dealer). You really don't want to be a guinea pig for an SA! HTH, a

Another thing to keep in mind is allocations. They are released the first week of the month. So make sure you get a production number from the sales manager. Don't put down a deposit unless you get this. No allocation = no car. This can be hectic since there are a few more steps involved with ED before you are able to confirm your delivery date with the BMW ED department and start booking flights, hotels, etc.

They told me they have allocation but I haven't signed any paperwork yet because I want to make sure I'm not getting Screwed on the deal. I called a few other dealers in New England and they all told me the same thing, they're not willing to go any lower than European delivery MSRP. Including taxes, fees and my options (MT,MG, extended leather, Power sunshade , silver 19s) I am up to 69500. One thing I have to keep in mind is that my local dealer is two hours away from me and in addition to that, the only dealer in the state. How do I maintain a good relationship with them? I guess by submitting but knowing I can do better on the price is frustrating. The next closest dealer is 4 hours away....
