Where to get a GOOD trunk spoiler?
Okay, so I've ordered one from eBay.. center portion was flush, all the way down to near the end. The tips on both sides touched the paint but right before it, it was raised. There was also a seam line that can be seen from behind. It bothers me. I want 99% fitment, not any air gaps. Even tho they are like 2mm from it and only seen at certain angles, it's my personal pet peeve.
I then ordered one from bimmian. The autocarbon branded one. 3x the cost. Thought maybe something not from China would be better... yes and no. Fitment seemed better, but it would require me weighing down the tips to make it flush. I don't quite like that idea simply because I feel like over time it'll come up from the opposite pressure. BUT what bothers me the absolute most is that the underside where you would put the tape, there's a slit all the way from end to end that is cut out. WHY,.,... WTF WHY.,.. even the chinese knockoff didn't have this which made it more stable. Literally just test fitting it on my car, i could hear the CF bend and creak. I took it back inside and saw it already started cracking because there's nothing in the center to support it. So, how is this supposed to be stable??? Can anyone PLEASE tell me where I can get a CF spoiler that actually fits properly? |

ugh!
Today I learned not to get a trunk spoiler for the Z4! I had great success with the side skirts - perfect fitment. But I know what you mean with the trunk spoilers. When I did my 535 I felt the same way with the curve not being spot on. I hope you get it worked out. |

Check my thread....2017 teaser....
I really like the fitment of my new wing, its not the 3D Design style. Its more true to the M cf spoilers you see on M models. Pics and link are posted. I'll have more photos in 2 weeks once its installed.

Ebay CF 3D Design spoiler is probably the best and most reasonably priced. The one I received had 100% fitment.

You probably had a good seller/manuf... mine, it was bowed, so if you looked at it, you could see the upper surface on one side but not the other. it was essentially twisted, even though i could probably live with the gaps on the side, the twist was pretty annoying.
