I have a 400HP X5 now and it makes me smile. 300 HP in an even heavier vehicle would seem slow. Plus here in Canada you can only get adaptive suspension and heads-up display with the 50i; I want both of those, the suspension because it comes with a softer ride -- I'm an old man -- but better cornering -- but not that old! -- and the HUD because I had it in a Vette and thought it ought to be standard in every vehicle. And if I were that worried about the cost of fuel, I'd buy something a darn sight more sensible than an X6.

I have doubdts on xdrive50i.
Its very powerful on paper and much more suitable for a vehicle like X6. But I remember reading some reviews on 50i s with turbo lags...

I ordered 35i because I need the extra space now and I can get one now (being built first week in May) and didn't want an x-5. I have 335 twin turbo in an e93, and I think it will have plenty of power in this 937lb heavier car. 50i is to be released in November? Maybe? cheap

I dont get the question? Your asking if you should pick between v6 twin turbo or a v8 twinturbo no matter the cost?
Its obvious what the awnser is haha I would take the 50i any day Why would you even want the 35i when you can get the 50i?

I'd go with the xdrive 35i. Enough power for me, slightly better gas mileage, plus more nibble without the turbo lag as mentioned in many reviews for the xdrive50i.
Although, the only thing that really bugs me is that I'd want the rectangular exhausts tips from the xdrive50i, plus the 5 spoke 20" rims. |

Of course, I would take the 50i too if both are the same price. But too bad, there is about 10k between the two. Is it worth to pay 10k for a V8 TT with turbo lags? Normally, I go for top of the line for everything. Thanks |

^-- I agree, we will probably order the 35 and put a Turbo Tuner on it. Although we are talking about doing a TT for the V8 as well and that would be just insane!
