HVAC display color MY2017+?

Hi all,

I thought the temperature display should be white? but saw some with orange color display. Is this a day/night thing or associated with a package? I don't own one but planing to get into one.

White in the daytime, orange when the headlights are on.

Its a day/night thing unfortunately. The white does look a lot better than orange but all the dials are still orange so looks out of place if it was white at night. I have my headlights always on auto but some sensor knows its night and turns the ac thing to orange. There is an interior light you can change to sports which is white but only the dim lights on the doors and random spots. But classic orange or sports white lights inside cabin, its so dim anyways doesn't make much of a difference.
