Fuel - Any differences?

Hi

I'm just curious where all M owners here get fuel? Do you just use what's available nearby or do you make the trip to a particular brand station?

I used to only get Shell V-Power Nitro+ (stupid name) for the first 3500 miles but it's starting to be very annoying to look for Shell stations and their prices are higher than all other premium fuels.

I go to Citgo in Jersey, because the Shell station by me has not lowered there price since oil started falling 3 years ago. I refuse to give them my money. No problems at all using 93 octane. I'm at 9500 miles.

Sunoco, Shell and Gulf are the three I frequent. I prefer the Shell or Sunoco but the Gulf station is closest to my job.

I use Shell and Chevron exclusively. The cars run best on these two IMHO.

I've been using BP for about the past 4 years and haven't had any mechanical or performance issues on any of my vehicles.

Last 4 years vehicle list
- 2013 650i GC
- 2016 X6 50i
-2012 Panigale 1199s

Before the list above, I was using Mobil 93 for years on the below listed vehicles, and I never had any mechanical or performance issues either.

- 2009 X6 35i
- 2011 GSX-R 600
- 2012 S1000rr

Between Mobil and BP, I haven't experienced any issues.

Just wanted to mention that because the majority of the posts so far tend to favor Shell, as per BMW recommendation.

BMW used to recommend BP prior to recommending Shell... not sure ehat, happened to cause the flip flop... I speculate it had something to with advertising and expired contracts.
