USB splitter in center armrest?
So I currently have my iPhone plugged into the center console USB port, but what would happen if I plug a USB splitter into that port and plugged my iPhone into one port and my iPod into another port? Is that supported? Would I be able to listen to music on either device? The reason I ask is because I currently have to unplug my phone to then plug in my iPod. I don't want music on my phone (long story).
Thank you

The reason I wanted this is also a little more complicated. I want to be able to charge my phone in the center console, but have it run on bluetooth instead of running on the wired usb connection. The reason for this is I can't use Waze at the same time I listen to music on the phone. the guy in the below thread looks like he was trying to accomplish the same thing. I figured If I used a USB splitter it would make the phone only charge rather than transfer data, but not sure it will work

USB splitters do not work.
For your purposes, I would recommend a cigarette adapter to output 2+ amps (much faster charge) for phone and use vehicle's usb port for ipod. |

Don't want to use that because I don't think that is a clean setup, want to have it feed through the center console into the armrest if possible. So if I connect a USB splitter int the armrest and plug my iPhone into that, what will happen? Will it not charge?

I know it will not read both devices. Not sure if it will simply charge one and read the other. |

You should also have a lighter socket below the glove box door, one at the back of the console, and one in the trunk.
