2018 x5m Arrived

Hi folks wanted to introduce myself in the forums. Ordered my X5M last month and closing out the deal today on my ride.

Donington Grey with Individual amaro extended leather and carbon interior. Got every option except the night vision and CarPlay.

This is going to be my first SUV currently own e36/e92/f80 -M3's but with the kids figured an SUV will be better. Trading in the F80 for the F85 .

I wanted to know if anyone knows how to recode the anti-dazzle headlights back in?

I have it done on my f80 and it has been amazing figure I ask the Bimmerpost family if anyone knows how it's done on the f85.

Mod bug is already started - ordered oem Black grills,side grills, rear badge and CF center console.

Considering tune and intake if anyone has advise on what's good for the f85?

Wheel Spacers are they recommended?

Last exhaust I don't like the chrome tips any advise on how to get black tips?

Killer combo. I’m happy with the power improvements from RaceChip, Dinan Intake and Akrapovic exhaust. Stock 0-100mph was 9.4ish. Now it’s 8.6ish. Welcome and enjoy your killer ride !

Congrats and awesome combo! I recommend dinan’s tune mainly bc it doesn’t void your warranty. In regards to spacers, definitely. I got mine from Ben @ rgsport here and have no regrets.

Don't waste your time or money with Dinan. S63 has plenty margin of safety to increase the HP/ torque, unlike the S55, S63 has no spun crank issue. Only issue has been excessive oil burning and steering wheel 'clicking'.

BPMsports has a OBDII flash tune (http://www.bpmsport.com/services/tun...5x5m-tune.html), other vendors are announcing OBDII tunes daily; bench tune for the S63 requires drilling both ECU's. I would pass on the exhaust and install catless downpipes (did it for my F83, but keeping the F85 more tame with only a Stage I tune)

Coding LED lights for removal of 8S4 and 5AP would be the same for the F80. I'm waiting for the 1,200 mile break-in and having Alex@Alpine handle the the coding for $100.

Thanks for posting. The color combo looks great. I have a 2018 X6M also in Donington Grey arriving in about a week so I was anxious to see another M in that color. I went with black interior and the chrome/gray standard wheels color with executive package.

I just received my 2018 Donnington Grey X5 M with Mugello Red leather and the black rims, and everyone at the dealership commented on how sharp the car looks with that color combo. I already got the mod bug as well. I ordered the Dinan stage 2 tuner and the carbon fiber intake the gloss black side flares, carbon fiber mirror caps, and I need to have it coded as well. I also bought the BMW factory hitch so hopefully the bumper doesn't need to be cut, but can't wait to be past the 1200 mike breakin!
