No I did not like dealing with them. Very unresponsive.
Go to Coby wheel (alcantara only options) or call these people: http://www.dallassteeringwheel.com/ Neither option is cheap, but they're good.

I have bought a few things from them for my previous cars and never had any issues. Hence my suggestion. But yeah, it's always good to have more than one option. |

Get an M-Wheel to replace your current wheel. I really like mine, and occasionally you can get them on sale for ~$600-ish.

Dallas Custom did a terrible job on a wheel of mine. I asked them to re-do it, which they agreed to do. It came back even worse. I refused to pay.
They have done good work for me in the past but after that experience I will never use them again, hit or miss... |

$59. I got this for my b-day on Monday. The product seems very nice, and it has a whole install kit with needles, double-sided tape, thread, and very detailed instructions regarding how to sew it. I'll be installing when I have another vehicle to drive if need-be, but initial impressions are very, very good.

Redline goods remanufactures steering wheels now? I love their products, been using their shift and brake boots on my cars for years.
Might get a flat bottomed steering wheel from them. Need to check it out.

I also hunted for a decent BMW re-wrapper such as http://cobywheel.com/ I ended up purchasing a full wheel from Ledermanz on EBay, and selling my OEM wheel for a hundred bucks to cover some of the cost. It was going to be about $400 all said and done for a really nice re-wrap, and my wheel was $500 from Ledermanz. So far it's excellent. Love the shape and quality, still ~$300 less than a regular Alcantara BMW Perf. Wheel. https://www.ebay.com/usr/ledermanz?_...p2047675.l2559

I wrapped my steering wheel yesterday with the aforementioned Xuji wrap. It wasn't too hard, just tedious and repetitive. I have to say, it looks pretty darn good for a person who can't really sew. The leather is very soft, and will definitely wear better than any alcantara, and the stitches look consistent and even. I'll take some pictures when I get the chance.

I'd recommend just getting an updated steering wheel.

There ya go! I like the soft leather much better than the OE wrap, I need to restitch the top, though. I skipped too many spaces.

That looks great Chris. You remind me of me at your age. Lots of time, not a ton of money, and a willingness to try anything. You should have seen my first home made full interior on my first car.
No pictures of the inside, but a 1973 Opel Manta that I paid $150 for in 1979. I painted it in my garage, with a little help from my dad.

Those are some nice cars! There's another member I know who likes Opels. Wonder if he'll notice your post. Maybe I'll help him. His name is mackeroni.
