M6, f06 usb ports

Does anyone have an F06 M6 that has the USB port in the glove box? Mine is a 2014 model (9/13 production date) The only USB port I haveis in the center console arm rest.

Was thinking about the same thing. Needed an USB for the first time yesterday, couldn't find it in glovebox, gave up looking...

Should be in the upper right corner of glovebox, only good for installing music to hard drive, very low power (won't power cell phone)

From about middle of 2016 production they added one in the cup holder (go to 9:55)

I thought it would line up with when the moved to the new idrive layout (that this car also has) but there is a Coupe in NZ that has the new idrive layout but not USB port in the bup holder

Some of the documentation shows there is a usb port in the glove compartment but I do not have it on mine. The hole is there to mount one however. There is apparently a usb hub below the center armrest storage compartment that has two inputs according to the wiring diagram, but apparently only one input is used. I have not removed the storage compartment to look at it yet.

I am considering just hard wiring a usb port in the glove compartment, since I have to run a cable to my to the GOPRO anyway.
In the manual, it says that the music to the hard disk can be done via the console USB.

The USB in the glovebox is for cars with CIC idrive which had 2 USB ports. 1 in glovebox to update maps and load music into hardwrive and 2nd usb/aux port in armrest for media playback.

Cars with NBT or NBT Evo only have 1 USB/aux port in armrest which does both functions.
