Having a build in the order bank doesn't mean your dealer has an allocation available. Is this for M3 or M4? Allocations for M3 are more or less done given production ends in October. You should find out from your dealer if they have an allocation and for which week.

If the dealer actually has an open allocation you should receive the build number / production number within minutes (a day at most). If they aren't giving that to you, it's a tell-tale sign that there isn't an actual allocation available and they're stringing you along.

Unless the individual color changes anything. I didn't think that impacted getting the allocation. |

no production number no allocation. Dealer is waiting to get a allocation. allocations are released first of each month. No guarantee a dealer will get a allocation but chances are pretty good for a M4 I would think. GL get everything in writing so your covered

As Golffrr has said, allocations are given every 30 days. Nothing new will develop until the 1st or 2nd business day of the following calendar month. M4 allocations are consistently given out every month though, so unless you’re dealing with a tiny dealer, you should be okay.

Likely october 29th (a month from now). As mentioned, the time you spent waiting from "when you placed the order" till now, didnt actually count for anything. You didnt actually "order" your BMW till they gave you a production number, as others in the thread have said. |
