Will stock ZCP exhaust pass 90db sound at Laguna?

Curious if anyone has had sound issues at Laguna with stock ZCP exhaust in Sport+ -- do you have to lift going up past the sound booth?

I was skeptical with a stock exhaust in sport+ so I picked up an exhaust valve controller and ran sport+ with the valves closed and had no issues at all. WOT straight up the hill.
If you're limited on time, you can always unplug the wire to the valve when they are closed and run sport+ that way. Maybe shift early out of T5? If you don't get flagged, then try full throttle on your last lap and see if you can get away.

Here's a good example

I passed sound at Laguna every time in the past 2 years (all 90dB days) with my M4 ZCP. Interesting part is it had MPE and I unplugged the valves at the beginning of each track day to keep them open constantly. So no problem at all. However, my last track day at Laguna was in February and I heard that the sound check is unusually more sensitive at Laguna for the past couple months. A lot of stock cars are failing recently and in fact the group that I go with (Exclusive Trackdays) submitted a complaint to the track about this recently.

I've had my 18 ZCP 6MT at WRLS a few times, and always run it in Sport+, and have never been popped for sound (i'm usually WOT passing the soundbooth).

I've also gone w/ Exclusive Track days, and I remember some talk about some increased sensitivity on the soundbooth, but my last track day was back in October.

Whether or not you’ll be popped for sound has a lot to do with weather condition. At the last LS school it was dry but heavily overcast all day with very low clouds, and we had multiple stock M3s, M4s, GT3s, and C7 Corvettes, almost all stock, flagged multiple times for sound violations.

On a crisp, clear day? Sometimes cars with race pipes would pass.

Just get an ODB exhaust flap controller run with valves closed and be done.

I actually do the opposite on the East Coast, because I want to hear the engine with the helmet on.
