Has anyone gotten a great deal on a 09 order?
I haven't had much luck finding the configuration I want on a 2008 car, so I am thinking of just ordering a 2009 Coupe. Has anyone been able to secure a similiar deal to the outgoing 08 prices? Trying to see if 500-1000 over invoice is reasonable, or if my numbers are way off.

That's what I am willing to pay and I believe is a fair deal for the dealer and me. It helps to get that if you have an established relationship with your dealer. Thanks to these economics times this is a great opportunity to get a good deal on a luxury car like the M3.
The only thing we need is 0.9% financing on the 2009 M3. I keep dreaming for now. |

Good luck getting that on an ordered car. I contacted all dealers in Florida and got $3500 off MSRP which is about $1500 over invoice for the car. My local dealer wouldn't go higher than $2000 off MSRP.

Given that the E92 I have on order (week 36 build) was my dealer's first '09 E92 M3 allocation and only one for September, I was only able to knock off $1,200 from MSRP. The September '09 E92 M3 allocations for very other dealership in the area are already spoken for. It appears that M3 allocations have decreased for 2009, like BMW has suggested. I think that if you're willing to travel or to wait for an October or November production vehicle after the initial run on the new MY is over, you should be able to get $1,000 over invoice.

MSRP - $2.5K was achieved on an ordered M3 E93, wk 36 Build, 23 Oct PCD pickup. I know MSRP - $3K was possible for the same config from an out of town dealer.

My wk39 build e90 is my local dealer's first 09 allocation. They offered me $2k off MSRP. I might have got more off, but might not have.
This is a small dealership in upstate NY. Winter is coming and they have a 6sp black on black M5 sitting on the showroom. They told me I was their last shot at selling it. Anyone looking for a manual M5 might want to call. I'd bet at least $10k off of MSRP and good lease/finance terms. They also have a fully loaded 6sp blk on blk e90 M3 that I bet you could get at invoice ($6k off MSRP). Burdick BMW in Syracuse NY ask for David Hines (my CA), or Tony DiCesar (sales mgr) 315-459-6000

Is it possible to order from an out of state dealer and have it deliver to local dealer? I know this might be a stupid question but have to ask... |

They won't deliver it to another dealer, but you can probably have them ship it to your house.

There is a gentleman that posted he received $2500 off of MSRP on an 09 E92. You can always push the CA. I have some tactics that I work on, and it had worked in the past; shop 4 or 5 even 6 dealers if you have to. Everyone is hungry for sales!

When you guys say you're getting X off MSRP or Y above invoice, are you also negotiating on freight, PDI, and admin fees?
In Canada, I have been offered -$1000 on ordered 09 E90 M3. I thinking of offering MSRP with freight, PDI, and admin waived (equates to $2,400). Just want to confirm that that is appropriately aggressive and I'm not missing an opportunity to get $1,000-2,000 off plus negotiate separately for freight/PDI/admin. Thanks very much, guys. |

No we in the US don't negotiate those things. The Destination & Handling and Gas Guzzler Tax are included in the US MSRP and you can't negotiate Tax which is the other big expense.

Correct. And in WA, it's 9.3%... Ouch.

I will stick with Florida and our 6% sales tax and no state income tax.
