ASAP Account
Hi guys,
I am facing issue with my local dealer installing the mppk. Anyone or dealer with access to after sales assistance portal is willing to help to get the release code, download and send me? I am willing to pay a fee. |

Anything you buy from out of country will not be supported in your host country if going through a licensed dealer. BMW won't allow it as it doesn't conform with your countries Legal code.
Same thing why any European part numbers that are euro specific won't work and or cant be bought through USA stationed dealers. That's only if you do it by the book, if your going about it back door style anything is posable but have no idea how to make that happen. |

If he has an American spec 35i and purchased the MPPK via BMW dealer they should be able to install it.
Most likely, the dealer that you purchased it from messed up a digit of your VIN during the order. That was a common issue causing many BMW technicians lots of headaches with the MPPK installation.

Yep EU spec and USA spec cars don't like each other when you get the dealers involved.
I can see a EU spec and USA spec cars having different part numbers for the software being for different countries. Probably why your having problems as the numbers don't jive with what your host country allows. Worked at a few dealers over the years and they don't cross breed the cars. If it's a EU spec car they won't work with USA software. At least they won't do it in the states. Now overseas it seems less of an issue. I hope the best for you. |

The issue is actually human. The sales director who I am close with got posted back after a 2 months deployment. I just told him my current situation and after one week, the issue is solved with them saying they got a code for me which hopefully can be used.
