Rims & Tyres

Hello, this is my first ever time on this so I hope I'm going it right.

I have a 2007 X5 E70 at the moment with 255/55/18 on all fours.

I have found a set of BMW rims but they are staggered and the sizes are as listed below:

275/40/20
315/35/20

These came off a 2016 model X5.

Will they fit my 2007 model and if so, will it cause me issues?

Thank you so much Have a great weekend and stay safe!!!

Hi, and welcome!!

F15 X5's and E70 X5's have the same bore sizing, therefore you're fine. If they came off a M car then I believe you'd have issues in the rear. Which wheels are they?

Do you still think they'll fit my 2007 X5?

Thank you again

Ah very cool, those actually look like powder coated BMW 300 Style rims, from E70 if I'm not mistaken.

I have no idea about the rims but I just asked the seller if they are still available and will hopefully check them out this afternoon. Thanks again for your help and the heads up

If they came off a newer X5 non M then bore size should be 74mm front and rear. However if that style wheel is off a E70/71 M X5 then it might not fit on the rear as bore size is 72.5 for only those M models, not sure why that was. I'm not 100% on the wheel model tbh, maybe someone else can validate.

Here's some more info regarding bore sizing: https://www.bimmerworld.com/About-Us...6-Wheel-Specs/
and here: https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1059293

I believe the 300 style wheel is in fact off E70/E71 M X5, which will not fit a regular non M E70 because of that rear bore size.

If your E70 has the 72.5mm rear hubs, you can buy hubcentric rings, that will make the rear 74.0mm wheels fit properly.
