ess 625 kit on stock rod bearings bolts ?

as the title states, is it safe to run an ESS 625 kit on stock rod bearing bolts? Or should this be addressed before hand?

TIA

if you are going to spend money on supercharger kit I would think you could have peace of mind and just do the rod bearings.

Reason I am asking is I had my rod bearings done 4k ago. Got to the shop and they found out they were short the ARP rod bolts and I was basically stuck with stock bolts. The shop was not local and I had driven 4 hours to get the job done.

I would hate to spend the money again to go up in there to replace the bolts when I was just there a few months ago.

In 10 years here, I have not read of any stock rod bolt failures. Shops like to use the ARPs be ages the customer pays the extra cost, they are much quicker to install, and the customer usually pays book labor for doing the job with stock bolts. They are not being used because extra strength is needed. They are reuseable and that is another benefit, but very few have actually reused them because very few have changed rod bearings a 2nd time.

I would not be the least bit worried with an ESS625 kit and stock rod bolts.

Hey OP. I read your post wrong, sorry about that. I thought you were talking about the bearings.

I agree with pbonsalb, you should have no issue with the stock oem bolts.

+1 to stock rod bolts - they have not been shown to be a problem. PITA to install, but strong like bull.
