If you are... Do you pull any metal bits off the plugs during fluid changes??

I run magnetic plugs. The front pan won’t fit a plug with much of a flange. I use one from a power sport application and I still had to grind it down a little. I never find and pieces of metal, but Sometimes find some fluff. It’s an aluminum motor. My iron block S52 has more fluff on the magnet.

So catching the "fluff" means there may be some metal bits in there, ya?

Is two magnetic plugs for the trans, diff oil complete overkill? Unnecessary?

It’s a tiny bit of fuzz but it is magnetic. Trans and diff is even more recommended because there is no filter,

I do. Barely see any fluff on them. Bit of a waste on an aluminum engine. Go figure...

I run one for rear diff and one for engine oil sump. Still new, haven't removed it to check yet.

I use to run one, but stopped due to it snapping. I was lucky to still grab some threads and get it out. Did not feel like pulling the oil pan again.

I would like to know as well. I heard some old-timer say not to use a magnetic drain plug because it pulls the essential minerals within the oil away from the engine. Let me know how it goes.

LOL old timers. If you have iron in your oil, you're using the wrong oil.
