2016 X5M or 2019 X5 35i

Hi Guys

i know this post is really weird and almost uncomparable but just looking for some guidance.

background: recent my audi R8 was flooded, now looking for a more purposeful all around daily driver and will get back into the R8 in a year or 2

Budget around 50K

Shall i go for a 2016 x5M with around 45-50,000 miles for around 48

Or

2019 x5 nicely optioned msport package warranty, low miles 22K for around 50K

i know they are both different, shall i go with the newer car, newer tech or with the untamed beast.

my commute is like 5 miles in long island ny so cant really speed anyway but the r8 was still fun.

appreciate any insight!

High mileage on that M. I'm sure that will come with a load of issues. Airbags, tranny, air compressor, brakes (of course) and who knows what else. Is the warranty still in play? I forget the year you wrote in the post and I'm too lazy to go back. Is it CPO?

Also if you're used to power why even consider the other vehicle? Reliability yes but you'll be bored all day long driving to and from work etc.

Just my two cents.

Very sadly I'll say go with the 2019 non-M. The X5M is incredible but as mentioned above, the mileage is higher, doesn't mean its bad, but around when all the issues begin. And parts aren't cheap. If you get a killer deal on an Original Extended BMW Warranty then maybe.

In my opinion, you'll be glad you're driving the M as long as you're covered.

Get it fully evaluated by the best independent shop around. Then extend the CPO and maybe consider a BMW Ultimate Care+ maintenance plan if it qualifies. Could even check out the wheel/tire etc protection packages too if you're into that stuff.

That's what I did with my '17 X5M so that I'm covered if the shit hits the fan... (and we know that it always does in some form right?)

Good luck either way. But hopefully you'll be posting pics in here soon!
