MP HAS disassembly
Hey all, I'm a noob when it comes to suspension DIY stuff.... so I previously had the MP HAS, recently switched out to B16 damptronic kit.
I'd like to sell the MP HAS, but need to get it separated from front struts. Top hats/springs are off. Any tricks to getting the perches off? Do I need a press? (Alternatively, I'll be taking the car in for its alignment next week, maybe easiest to bring the struts along and see if they can do it....) Thx! |

Need a press. Bring them to your shop and it should take them a few minutes.
Or...(better) sell the used MP-HAS with dampers included, which saves someone a ton of work and pockets you extra cash. Then you could buy a lightly used set of ZCP dampers if you need a return-to-stock set for your bench.

Take a heat gun and heat the collars then tap them off with a soft blow mallet. Very easy..... If you dont need the dampers then it is way easier cuz you can turn them upside down against something hard. But the heat gut works awesome
