Remove Tyre TPMS Warning - Can someone code for me via Teamviewer ?

Hello,
I have an 40e. I changed Tyres to 21". So nice !
But I get the TPMS error as they have no sensors in there.

I have the soft (E-SYS), I have the ENET cable and latpop with Windows.

Could someone do a Teamviewer and help me to code this please ?
I can setup everything in the car so it is just the coding part...
Very happy to pay 50$ for this support !

Thanks in advance
Sam

You can just spend $100 and get sensors.

Why weren't the sensors transferred to the new wheels when they were being installed?

Thanks for your proposal. I know the different options but this one is the least painful for me. Please please...

I was able to do some E-Sys coding for the first time

However, when I get down to the TPMS it is already unactive
I did this with the bimmercode probably. But the alert keeps coming back. Any idea on how to remove it completly ?

I found the "trick" in another post.

To desactivate TPMS
In HU_NBT > 3001, code RDC to nicht_activ
In HU_NBT > 3001, code RDC_SAFETY to nicht_activ
In HU_NBT > 3001, code RPA to active

Opposite to reactivate

While you're on it, you should activate FTM (Flat Tire Monitor) as a backup for not having TPMS. FTM isn't as accurate as TPMS but it's better than having nothing. Sorry, can't help on the coding as I have FTM by default (Canada) so haven't turned it on or off myself but I know I've seen it pop up in the forums somewhere on how to do it.

Best and fast way is to vo code. Delete 2vb from vo and code. Kombi, nbt, icm and abs. This will automatically default to ftm.

I personally like tpms and I always end up retrofitting on all my vehicle.

Thanks all.
I will check tonight. Your firest coding operation is always scary

Charles.soori, what do you mean by retrofitting ? You install the module in each wheel ?
Where do I get the TPMS sensors in case ? Is there a specific model and does it require coding (not the car but the sensors) ?

I believe that is what he did in the 3rd line of coding. The FTM (flat tire monitoring system) which uses the ABS brake sensors and tire revolutions to determine if the tire has lost air...is also referred to (in BMW speak) as the RPA (indirect) tire monitor system.

Whereas the system that uses actual sensors in each wheel is called the RPA (direct tire monitor system)...aka TPM system

You can tell by the coding parameters in the 1st two lines...the (direct) RDC system was coded to INACTIVE...and the 3rd coding line ACTIVATES the RPA (indirect aka FTM) system.

Yes install in each wheels and some older models needs a receiving antenna. New models now have it built into abs module so all you need is tpms sensors and coding.

Look in ebay you will be able to find all 4 tpms new for around 150usd

Coding just nbt is not enough to disable tpms. You need coding In abs and icm as well for sure. Best is vo coding

Only responding to what was written in the linked thread in the post above. The forum member used those 3 lines of code and claims it worked for him when he mounted winter tires without the TPM sensors installed inside.

But you are correct that if you have something like ESYS...you need to do coding to multiple modules to change between the TPM & FTM systems.

Hello everyone, I did the change mentioned above and error came again. I did remove all errors and then it went away ! I did a little tour (2 miles max) and still no error. Let's hope this fix the issue.
Regarding the flat tyre, is it really needed ??? It is around 10 years it is common and only for luxury cars, low tiers dont have it and they survive very well. On top, I agree that if only a woman like mine was driving, she could be driving on 4 flat tyres all day long but most people can feel it and I do check 2-3 times a year that all is fine.

Last question, I try to code in the BCD_BODY and got that cafd_000017be-071_010_030 was not found. I found it on the web but is it safe ??? Any risk to do something wrong if I use a wrong cafd ? It is exactly the same name. Any risk ?

If you get a puncture on a run flat tire, it is not so easy to feel it... The sensors are handy for that, and also how often do you manually check that you have the right pressure in the tyres...

The solution isn't working... 15km after, error TPMS came back 😭 I have now ordered the sensors for the car and then I will get the installed.
Any idea on the bcd_body? Any risk when you download the cafd online?
