Water when I open front doors -is this normal?

When I open my front doors up to a few days after a rain storm a bunch of water drops to the ground under the doors. If I had to guess how much water it is I would say its probably half cup on each side. I don't remember this happening when the car was newer. It is a 2018 35d. Is this normal?

Sunroof drains clogged. Search, lots of reported problem and fixes.
Use some string trimmer to shove down to clear the debris that's causing the blockage or hot water/cleaner.

If under warranty and still badly twisted, take it to the dealer. They will take the front Q panel of and A pillar trim and straighten it out or run a new line.

Some people also run a smaller OD tubing down to keep the accordian like OEM tubing from clogging by giving it a breather.

Good luck.

Seems like the water maybe coming from inside the doors.

You have an issue somewhere - whether or not it is your sunroof drain. Could be a faulty door seal, but that amount of water you describe is not normal. At least in my experience.

If its coming from the door itself then it could just be the door drains being clogged with debris. The sunroof problem usually causes a wet headliner or floor boards. Doors don't exactly seal from water sliding down the window that's basically a wiper blade you see at the base of the windows on most cars.

Where are the door drains and how do you unclog them?

Should be in a crease along the inside bottom of the door. Look for wet muck. Use something to poke through the debris.

Here you go. Had debris in mine as well causing water to overflow the door panel.
