Question Wheels, Tires & Grilles (oh my!)

Hey Guys! I've finally decided on wheels for my 2018 35i M Sport that I picked up last fall: 21" Style 612m. I've tried searching several times, but can't seem to find exactly what I need, so I'm hoping y'all can help.
  • What tires is everyone running on these wheels? I currently have RFTs which I hate. I ran Conti DWS06 on two previous E70s, but I don't think they come in this size? Are there any all-season options? If not, I can swap to the original wheels in the winter, I suppose.
  • Since I'm getting rid of RFTs, I'll need some sort of spare. I think the space-saver is what I need? I do not have a 3rd row.
  • I want to get the gloss black kidney grilles (with black surround), but do not want the one with the ///M badge. Does anyone know the part numbers for this? (OEM only)
I appreciate your help!

1) 285/35R21 and 325/30R21 Summer options are really Pirelli P Zero or Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

2) https://modernspare.com/product/2014...e-kit-options/ or the OEM spare. I'd go for the former.

3) https://www.rgsportshop.com/BMW/BMW-...product_id=737 - Gloss Black

Post pictures when its done!

If you go to www.discounttire.com & search on 2018 BMW X5M and select 285/35/21 & 325/30/21, you will see the different options for the 612Ms. No all season options, it's either summer (Dunlop, Pirelli, or Michelin) or winter (Yokohama, Pirelli). I'd personally go with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, it's the best tire available (it's the OEM tire also) and the least expensive. It's replacement, the Pilot Sport 4S is not available yet, at least not as a matching set.

Correct, you just need the space saver tire. I recently bought a pre-assembled OEM kit from ECS tuning, fits perfectly in the rear compartment - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...71106775773kt/

Regarding the grills, there's lots of options out there - cheap crap on eBay all the way to OEM M performance. Since you asked for part #'s I'll assume you are looking for OEM, which I support . Part #'s below are for the F15/F16. If you want the double slat grills like the poster above linked to, those are the F85/F86 X5M/X6M style.

Does anyone know what is the difference between the M Performance black grills vs the regular shadow line grills? Are they the same thing? Thanks.

They sound like the same thing? What are these shadowline grills you mention, do you have a part # and/or picture? The OEM shadowline trim that comes on the X5 M Sport (and a gazillion other BMW models) matches the OEM performance grills, so I gather they're the same grills?

The extended shadow line grills are the optional blacked out grills when you get the extended shadow line with the M sport package - which is what I have. I noticed BMW also sells an M Performance grill on their website. Wasn't sure if they are exactly the same.

I've never heard of extended shadowline trim on an F15 beyond what is standard on all M Sports. The G05 has an extended shadowline trim package. Either way it's probably the exact same grill if they're all OEM.
