Jb4 on a 113k mile n55

Hello, I got a 2012 135i recently and it is completely stock except for a vrsf upgraded intercooler. With having 113k miles would it be worth having jb4 or will I run into a lot of problems. I’m a college student but I make enough to fix something it goes wrong. But I just want to know if bumping boost up will lead to just problem after problem and run my car funds way down.

You are obviously a pretty smart college student. Most people go for the biggest power they can, then worry about the fallout later. You can do a jb4 and go easy with it. Don't have go straight to a big power map. Or mhd is a little cheaper and easier. With either just do a stg1 or map1 and it won't be much different for your car but you will see a little bump in power. Then work on your maintenance items, get it all done and out of the way and you can go up from there. Not going from stock to full 2+ is the smart move .
My car is n54 but I had so many issues when I bought the car, I just went straight to 2+ and sent it. And yes had all sorts of other issues. Few years later and most every piece is warrantied for life from fcp euro because I broke it and I replaced it. And I'm still replacing stuff. Lol.
Go easy with it and do the maintenance properly, don't go with cheap parts and you should be fine. Good luck

For what you are looking to get out of the car for now, I would recommend MHD over JB4. MHD is much easier to work with and will be less headache in my opinion.

So if I get jb4 and just do map 1 ill be fine? I am not wanting crazy power, just a little more for when I take it to the track. I won't really want any power over 350whp because whatever it is at now is plenty fast, I just want a little more for track. So getting jb4 ill probably drive on map 0 or stock boost for just daily driving because I don't need a bunch of power. But what exactly should I do if I wanted to run map 2 or a higher boost map?
