Jb4 on a 113k mile n55
Hello, I got a 2012 135i recently and it is completely stock except for a vrsf upgraded intercooler. With having 113k miles would it be worth having jb4 or will I run into a lot of problems. I’m a college student but I make enough to fix something it goes wrong. But I just want to know if bumping boost up will lead to just problem after problem and run my car funds way down.

My car is n54 but I had so many issues when I bought the car, I just went straight to 2+ and sent it. And yes had all sorts of other issues. Few years later and most every piece is warrantied for life from fcp euro because I broke it and I replaced it. And I'm still replacing stuff. Lol. Go easy with it and do the maintenance properly, don't go with cheap parts and you should be fine. Good luck |

For what you are looking to get out of the car for now, I would recommend MHD over JB4. MHD is much easier to work with and will be less headache in my opinion.

So if I get jb4 and just do map 1 ill be fine? I am not wanting crazy power, just a little more for when I take it to the track. I won't really want any power over 350whp because whatever it is at now is plenty fast, I just want a little more for track. So getting jb4 ill probably drive on map 0 or stock boost for just daily driving because I don't need a bunch of power. But what exactly should I do if I wanted to run map 2 or a higher boost map?
