Front Pads

So my iDrive is telling me that there is 10k left till front brake service is required (I’m at 43.5k miles now). I think the front pads are toast by the looks of it. I was reading on an earlier post that the sensor is a two stage sensor. I’m surprised that I haven’t hit the second stage based on the look of the front pads. What do y’all think? I’ll probably be taking it in in a couple of months for a scheduled oil and diff fluid change and have them take a look at it. Just curious as to why the computer is still saying 10k left.

Those pads are gone Breh. Surprised you haven't damaged your rotors.

After taking a closer look, there is very little brake pad material left on those pads. And looking at the wavy pattern on the rotors, I would change them out as well.

Yep agreed. Covered by maintenance agreement so I’m good to go either way.

Wonder why the computers calculation is totally botched????!!!!!

Are both sides worn evenly? I've seen it where the computer says it's due and there is a ton of pad material left. It's likely that it could of gotten reset at some point as that's what the dealer did on my 335i when I had it. I do believe the sensor is on the onboard pad as that one usually wears faster. I'm guessing that maybe the outboard pad wore faster this time??
