I’m selling the M3 to fund my track car and my search for an SUV that can tow my track car. This car has been by far the best car I’ve owned to date, and I’m hoping I’d be able to make some space for another one sometime in the future. Considering the age of the car, it’s in excellent condition with the exception of a few things listed at the bottom of this post. The car has a clean title, and it’s under my name.

In just a little over a year of my ownership, I’ve had no issues whatsoever with the car. It’s been very well taken care of, and I have receipts and documents of everything that I’ve done to the car including consumables, as well as general and preventative maintenance. Everything is in working order, and I’m willing to answer any and all questions the potential buyer may have to the best of my knowledge.

FAQs:
Q: Have the rod bearings been replaced?
A: Yes. They were changed under the previous owner (see thread here), but he went with OEM bearings due to the BE or any equivalent bearings being unavailable at the time he had the job performed. As a result, I decided to get them done again with BE bearings and bolts (see thread post w/ bearing condition). I have the previous sets to show if needed.

Q: Have the throttle actuators been replaced?
A: Yes and no. Only Bank 1 has been replaced, and it was done by the second owner. This is probably the only preventative maintenance item that I didn’t get to yet.

Q: Has the car been tracked?
A: Yes. I’ve done 3 track events (6 days total) with this car. While I enjoyed driving the car on track, I found myself searching for more parts to make it a more enjoyable track car. Before I got any deeper into tracking with this specific M3, I decided to purchase a dedicated track car instead.

Q: Why is the car on winter tires?
A: I originally purchased a set of winter tires thinking that I’d be driving the car in the colder months, but I ended up driving my beater. The car sat in the garage last winter on snow tires, and it’s currently sitting in the garage on the winter setup. I have 2 additional sets of wheels with summer tires that can be included in the sale, depending on how much you’d like to add on top.

Maintenance items addressed under my ownership:
  • 72,029: Purchased the car (I am the 4th owner)
  • 73,106: Changed transmission fluid (Red Line 75W-80 MTL)
  • 73,114: Replaced thermostat, water pump, and coolant temperature sensor (OEM and OEM equivalent)
  • 74,400: Changed differential fluid (Red Line 75W-140 Gear Oil) and engine oil (Red Line 5W-50)
  • 74,420: Replaced front wheel bearings (OEM)
  • 77,569: Changed engine oil (Red Line 5W-50)
  • 77,600: Received PDR, multi-stage paint correction, Glassparency window coating, and 3-year certified Gyeon ceramic coating by LC Detail Garage
  • 78,051: Installed new front rotors (OEM), changed transmission fluid (Red Line 75W-80 MTL), bled clutch slave cylinder (Castrol SRF)
  • 79,528: Replaced rod bearings (BE Bearings with ARP bolts), replaced oil pan gasket (OEM), installed solid rubber motor mounts (034Motorsports), and replaced oil filter housing gasket (OEM) by DCxGarage
  • 80,398: Replaced oil separators (OEM) on both banks
  • 80,463: Changed engine oil (Red Line 5W-50)
  • 82,500: Installed stainless steel brake lines (HEL Performance), flushed brake fluid (Castrol SRF) via INPA
  • 83,112: Changed engine oil (Red Line 5W-50)
  • 84,242: Replaced front calipers (OEM) on driver and passenger sides, flushed brake fluid (Castrol SRF)
  • 84,250: Received follow-up paint correction and ceramic coating on trunk and hood by LC Detail Garage

*Full service records (including Carfax and Autocheck reports) are available upon request for serious buyers.

Cons:
The con that’s noticeable is on the exterior. The interior is pretty damn immaculate except for a few nicks and scratches. Prior to my ownership, the car lived its life in New York. I’m fairly certain the car’s been street parked numerous times since the front and rear bumpers have mild creases near the midline of the bumpers. This was one of the things that I wanted to address, but I just didn’t have the time to find a reputable body shop. The front bumper and hood have mild rock chips.

Parts available à la carte:
Exhaust:Transmission:Interior:Exterior:Suspension:Wheels/Tires:I will be updating the thread with the parts hyperlinked to individual FS posts along with pricing, feel free to DM in the meantime.

Car looks clean no question, but can we digress for a moment and talk about that garage?

Glass garage doors? Upgraded garage floor with contrasting yellow squares? The two bucket wash/detail station? The car banners? The extra lighting?

You can tell a lot about a person by how they keep their home/garage, and I have to say ... well done!

I thought that at first, but I didn't see a shop name anywhere, so I assumed the car banners and personal touches meant it was his ... I stand corrected ...

Haha yeah, I WISH my garage looked like that.

The shop in question is LC Detail Garage in Cliffside Park NJ- Johnny does amazing work and has been putting that elbow grease in to make the black paint come out beautifully. He also does swisstrax installs I believe, hit him up for your detailing needs!
