Peak Lateral G's?
What peak lateral G's are people seeing? I'm trying to figure out what looks like noise on my gopro telemetry and what is plausible to help refine smoothing and gauge settings.
Car:F82 Suspension: ZCP w camber plates Tires: Hankook RS4, 275 square Other: Peak G's:1.2-1.3 occasional 1.8 spikes (noise?) Just as a guess 1.2-3 is about the upper limit of my wild guess of what even realistic, but I don't have much of a frame of reference. |

Depending on the track camber, I've had around 1.3 peak on well cambered areas of Glen with NT01 or RR. Otherwise beyond 1.1/1.2 I was in skrrrrt skrrrt zone.
I think 1.1 sustained is around the peak of RS4 but you can get a momentary peak of a little more. |

Typically I am around 1.2-1.3 peak Gs on 275 square RT660s and an 800/700ish spring in my M2 comp with averages more in the 1.15ish range.
If you're using AiM RaceStudio 3, you can create a math channel to smooth out your lateral Gs for easier reading using the Rolling Average function. Code:
ROLL_AVG("channel name",5) |
