Rubber boot on ball joint is twisted
Had new front control/thrust arms installed recently and noticed that the rubber boot on the ball joint is twisted up. This doesn't seem normal - is it correctable?

Not normal, looks like it might have been over tightened… caused it to move. Whom ever installed it should know they wrong for giving you your vehicle like this! 😒

I think the pre-load (on the wheels) is more of an issue with the bolt thru the bushing, not the nut on the ball joint. To properly tighten these ball joint nuts you need to put a jack under the ball itself to top it from twisting, looks to me like whoever installed these neglected this step.
