driver seat leather cracking?
a lot of folks out of warranty now... what is everyone doing to address or repair the cracking on our driver side bolster?
DIYer? professional shop repair? Does BMW sell an entire seat cover replacement?

Cracking? Got a pic? Help us understand…what type of leather do you have…Vernasca, Nappa, Merino?
Being a natural hide…it will eventually crease/wrinkle…and caring for it correctly can help prevent topical damage. But cracking probably means the damage has gone too far and repair is the only recourse. Dirt/grime/dust probably contributes to some of the biggest issues…due to abrasion. If you wipe the seats down with a damp cloth (like a micro fiber towel) on a regular basis…that can go a long way in preventing damage…probably more than sparsely using conditioners & cleaners

I have Nevada Black leather.
It was looking faded and getting creased along the driver's outside bolster. This made a world of difference and has held up for many months now! |
