Bluetooth Issue connecting with new samsung phone
Hey everyone new to the Bimmer world here ... Just purchased a 2013 640i and I have tried to connect my Samsung S22 to the car to no avail. I went on BMW website to see if the software was up to date and it says it is. The car says its in pairing mode but the phone is not getting it as an available device so is it the car or phone at this point ? Anyone else have this issue

I have the S22 and a 2015 650i GC and they paired with no issues.
Try to pair to a different phone to see if it can. Make sure that all the old phones are removed from the car's BT list. Also, reboot the phone. Other than that I am no help. |

Is the phone in pairing mode, too? It has to broadcast it's availability for pairing just as the car does.
You can also open the owners manual built into iDrive...and do a quick search for Bluetooth pairing and it should be able to walk you through the process.

The Bluetooth modules can go faulty in these, I have seen a few older F10s that developed faults and stopped working.
regardless, make sure to try another phone as when in pairing mode the phone has to be able to see the car. |
