Engine Wiring Harness

The turbo coolant pump has the fault code, Unfortunately it’s not the pump that is defective, but chewed up wires, I guess it’s the rodents.

BMW dealer service advisor suggests engine wiring harness replacement; 10+ hours of labor + Engine Wiring Harness part

Need your help:

- What are your recommendations and alternatives, anyone had this issue ?

- I am Northern California, any forum members or independent local shops that can help ? TIA

Man.... I've been getting that same fault and a few other ones and a bunch of other electrical issues and I'm like 99% sure its something like this I just cant seem to find it.

If you know where your cut is why not just change that section of the harness instead of the whole harness?

If it's just the wires for the coolant pump, You should be able to splice in a new section. Then go buy some rat traps/poison so u don't have a repeat offender.
