PS4S for 437 wheels

It's finally time to replace the useless ContiSportContact 5P's that came on my car. I still can't believe BMW put this tire on an M3

I'm trying to decide between the following:

- 265-285 /35ZR19 PS4S Generic or

- 255-275 /35ZR19 PS4S Star for G80

I've spent hours reading through some of the older threads and it looks like the 265-285 /35ZR19 was probably the most recommended PS4S size.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any good comparisons between the 265-285 /35 and the new Star PS4S tires that were designed for the G80.

Have any of you gone from the 265-285 /35ZR19 generic to the 255-275 /35ZR19 G80 Star PS4S and can you share your experience?

I have 265/285 PS4S generic , upgraded from 255/275 PS4S generic and original PSS star spec. It’s more comfortable and more grip. No regrets going up to 265/285 and increased my ground clearance.

Thanks for the input N1rve. Good to hear the larger size is still considered an improvement. I'm really curious how the larger size compares with the latest G80 spec tires. In the end, any of these tires will be huge improvement over what I have now!

Same here, went from OEM sizes to 265/285, reduced wheelspin in low gears.

I think the star spec PS4S would handle better.

Thanks for the feedback N1rve and Kilabyte! I guess it comes down to larger size vs. newer technology.

Also I just checked Tirerack and the star tires are about $250 cheaper and in stock so I think they're the winner.
