Stock brakes pedal travel?
Working on my stock brakes just wondering if anyone can tell me how much travel their stock brakes have until you hit the "hard" stage of the travel? I've been flushing my lines to try and make my pedal feel like a Honda but i'm probably at a lost cause.
I got maybe about an inch before I hit the "hard" stage on my brakes. 08 6MT btw. |

You have to bleed the brakes using ISTA. It runs a test routine to bleed the air bubbles out of the DSC module through process called edging.
Go to operations > Read out vehicle data > Complete identification Vehicle management, service functions, chassis and suspensions Traction control, adjustment DSC unit, dsc unit adjustment > display > continue > yes

The DSC bleed is when it activates DSC while you have a pressure bleeder attached to the brake fluid reservoir, the caliper bleeder screw open for that corner's caliper, then you pump the brake pedal 5 times (if I recall the number correctly), followed by closing the bleeder screw. This bleed procedure should get the air bubbles out of the system. For the DSC unit adjustment, it runs several things automatically and the result for me was a firmer pedal. A soft pedal could also be an indication of an issue with your master cylinder and brake booster. I am replacing both of mine as preventative for track use as there is evidence of a small fluid leak.
