New to the M group! Looking for some stock exhaust.
I just purchased a used 2018 X5M with 38k on the odometer and really hate the drone the aftermarket exhaust makes. Since this rig will be my daily driver and I'm somewhat of a speeder I would like it to be more stealthy running the winding mountain roads of Montana.
If there is anything I should know about properly maintaining this beast, I would greatly appreciate any advice. My prior rig was a 2015 X5 M-sport and I loved her ability to get around in deep snow and dependability. I hope taking care of this new blue beast will treat me the same. If anyone could steer me in the right direction to find a quieter exhaust I would greatly appreciate it. I still have the motors attached underneath not hooked up to current shitty muffler. Thank you! Last edited by montanagrl; 07-11-2023 at 11:51 AM.. |

Montanagrl,
The key to maintaining your X5M, is to get it on a maintenance schedule: This is my schedule that I've followed for years, without any issues thus far. Every 6 months - Oil Change Every year - Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Micro Filter and Wiper Blades Every 2 yrs - Brake Fluid Flush, Power Steering Flush optional Every 4 yrs - Front and Rear Differentials, Transfer Case and Transmission service, Engine Coolant and Intercooler Fluid Flush Every 5 yrs - Serpentine Belt and Spark Plugs In between these service intervals are inspections, check brake pads and rotors, check fluid levels. This is a good schedule to start with, and modify as needed. I hope that helps.

Check for sale by owner, a stock exhaust comes up every now and then, not sure is 2015- 18 are same , but do a parts lookup, then check wrecking yards
