Style 158 Rims on 135i for Winter
Okay guys, I need some expert help. I own a set of 158 rims (I know they are ugly, so no flame please) and tires that I used on my 335i for winter driving in Germany. I'm trying to determine whether they will fit on the 135i.
Here is what I have calculated thus far: Style 158 8x17 ET 34 with 225/45R17 tires has 5.33"/135.382mm backspacing 135i Front: Style 264 7.5x18 ET 47 with 215/40R18 has 5.60"/142.24mm backspacing Rear: Style 264 8.5x18 ET 49 with 245/35R18 has 6.179"/156.95mm backspacing From what I can determine, as far as offsets go I'll have 7mm more and 21mm more clearance on the strut side for front and rear, respectively. But I'm worried as to whether the brakes are going to fit considering there is less backspacing on the 158 rims. Do you think I'll need to use spacers? Many thanks to anyone who can help. |
