Smile Ordered 135i msport coupe today

(This is my first post so please bear with me if the pictures dont appear correctly!)

I went into the BMW showroom today, and there was a 123d msport coupe hidden underneath a cover (the official release date is tomorrow in the UK). The salesman was kind enough to remove the cover to let me see the car and also sit in it. Within a few seconds I said "where do i sign"!!

I went on to order the following:
  • 135i Msport (the sensible choice is the 123d, but hey, you only live once!!)
  • automatic with paddles (due march 2008)
  • white with red leather
  • brushed aluminium trim
  • comfort access
  • heated seats
  • cruise control
  • PDC
  • Xenons
  • DAB
  • Hi-fi speakers
  • USB
A few observations on the car:
  • it looks great - very squat and "chunky"
  • the driving position is spot on, the seats and stearing wheel are very adjustable
  • rear room seemed perfectly adequate
  • rear boot (trunk) is bigger than I expected
I was going to order the terra leather, but they showed me a sample and it looked brown, not a nice reddish brown as the configurator would lead you to believe. Might change to black leather, and also the jury is still out on some of the options, I have until January approx if I want to change.

Regard
Paul.

Yeah the comfort access is the no key stuff. Would like the navi but can't really justify another £1800 ($3600!!).

Wait to see the terra on the car first, might look better. I was gonna go for the red in my e46 but felt it looked a little too over the top (IMHO), went for grey unstead, against the black it looked great. I'm in between over the lemon and the terra, will wait to see both before ordering. Congrats on the order though.

Wow that car is really nice.

Patiently awaiting your AW 135i pictures! Actually please post those asap. :-)

I am debating

alpine white with coral and aluminum
alpine white with black and aluminum
alpine white with terra and aluminum

Titanium silver with coral and aluminum
Titanium silver with terra and aluminum

I am getting comfort access and nav even though I can't justify 2100 USD for a nav. Comfort access will be so convenient, I can't count the number of times I have to reach into my pocket with a handful of food from lunch. Now all I have to do is pull the door handle.

I have a really good question. Say I get the sport package on my 135i. Does this include the real leather upgrade (the description just says sportier seats)? or will i still have to pay for the leather upgrade on top of that?

I think white and red is a great and classic combo.

I'm just off to the dealer's now for the launch - back soon with lots of pics and my views..

Mike.

Not only is the leather not part of the ZSP (sport pack), but you will have to pony up $3300 for the ZPP (prem pack) if you want either Coral or Terra.

That's true. Your config would be about $40900 in the States (£19864). We're very lucky here, and our cars don't get taxed nearly as much too. Your government makes sure they get their share as well as the dealership and BMW UK.

Either way, you get your sweet ride (and you optioned it very nicely) earlier than we do, plus you have access to stand-alone options and colors we do not. Congrats on the ride. She's a beauty.
