Diff Leak
While getting my oil change today, I noticed I had a diff leak (not dripping, just seeping). The bushing didn't appear to show any cracks.
1. When I decide to get it addressed, should I ask the shop to replace the culprit seals or change/upgrade the bushings as well? (Not sure if the labor is similar to each jobs). I'm thinking if the subframe has to come down anyway even for a seal replacement, I might as well change the bushings out too. 2. If the bushings/plate need to be changed, any recommendations on what upgrades I should be eye'ing (or replace with OEM)? 3. Any other upgrades/maintenance parts I should consider (while I'm there)? 4. Price ranges I should be expecting for labor costs? 2018 M3 ~45k miles, Tri-state area. Thank you! |

It seems the labor between changing bushings and changing a seal for a diff leak are different. Anybody else experience a diff leak and got it taken care of at their local mechanic? curious to see the pricing ballpark in the northeast
