Speaker Upgrade ???
I have a 2017 m4 comp with HK sound system. Ever since I got it, it has what I think is the rear speaker or tweeter blown. It’s driving me NUTS ! should I just replace that side and call it a day or has anyone personally upgraded it and felt good about the purchase. I have Bavsound woofer upgrades. And I am putting a 12” Rockford sub with enclosure with lci2, alpine amp, and technic pnp harness. The sound from the rear passenger speaker isn’t constant but more or so in certain frequencies.

Thanks for the heads up ! Either do it all or don’t do it at all. Will definitely keep that in mind because it’s a big investment in just audio

I have both the speaker and ghost woofers from bavsound. Speakers were definitely not worth it for me. I don't think it provides enough of a difference for the cost. Maybe about 10% better than factory HK speakers. Planning on going with Focal soon.

It doesn’t surprise me since the underseat bav sound woofers didn’t really make a huge difference on sound while charging so much. Guess I’ll just replace them and call it a day

The factory hk drivers are actually pretty darn good including the midbass under the seats. I’m not sure what this annoying noise is you’re hearing but I’d isolate which speaker is actually doing it and then just buy a replacement on eBay for cheap. Adding the sub will help since the hk system doesn’t reproduce below 40hz but what’d be better is to get an amp eith an active crossover on the midbass under the seats and the sub. This way you could cut the underseats off at 80hz or so and run the sub up to 60hz with lr4 slopes. If you really want to go wild I did a helix v twelve on all the factory channels off the hk amp
