Volk TE37 SE
I spoke with a volk retailer and he offered me 18x7.5 front 18x8.5 Volk TE 37 special edition black wheels with TPMS installed, Falken 452s 225/40 and 245/35, mounted and balanced for $3825. Does that sound like a good deal to you all???

They'll definitely be lighter, but the only thing you're doing is adding 10mm of width to the stock tire and keeping the exact same wheel size.. all for $4k.
I'm also not a fan of the Falken FK 452's. They are a fairly hard rubber compound. If weight is the issue, I think you can do lighter for cheaper. If stickiness is the issue, keep the stock wheels and get some better tires, which is also much cheaper. JMVHOYMMVAOK? |

For tires:
Bridgestone RE-01R Yoko Advan Neova - AD07 Falken Azenis RT615 For wheels, I would look at: D-Force LTW5 and EmPower SSR Comps I listed wheels that are "race inspired" or "race proven", since that's the intent of the Volks too. You can save at least a thousand with any of those combos over the Volks. Btw, there are others out there. This is just what comes to mind off the top of my head. |

Loved my Volks (GT-S) and the FK452's I had on my G35.
To me, Volks are just a JDM wheel, and aren't the style you want on a BMW. I'm looking at DPE, OZ, HRE, and others for mine. The comment I agree with in this thread is the minor improvements you would be making with the Volks in regards to sizing. $4K is a lot of cash for a narrow 18" Volk, being I got my 19" Volks in gunmetal that were 9.5 and 10.5 inches wide with a really low offset for $2500. Remember though, it is your car. Pick the style you want and just compare, a lot of wheel manufacturers have wheels that are similar in style and price/weights/etc. varries. |

But like everyone mentioned if you are paying close to 4k you better be getting some good looking rims (bigger/wider) and better tires... |

I'm leaning towards some SSRs or those new Breyton GTS if they are, in fact, as light as they are saying...the good thing is I'm in no rush so I'll get to see what others put on before I purchase mine.

I LOVE the 18" 264's. Just diff 225/40/18 & 255/35/18 tires.
I had 18" Volk RE-30's on my 07 TL-S with Pole position RE050A's. The Volks were Mercury silver. They looked ok. I wish I had bought 19" Volk GT-S instead. The Bimmer 264's will stay. |
