OK, which one of you ballers will be first to get perf. catalog seats into the U.S.?
Just curious of how you ballers plan on getting the non-US performace catalog seats imported over here.

I have thought about it. I wonder how many people would be interested if "someone" was able to import these?

I definitely would be interested in those seats! If we could find a way to get them over here and cheap or atleast at a reasonable cost I would do it. Another thing would be installation and seat belts need to make sure we can get someone to do it all perfect.

It's not a matter of importing them. I could buy them this week (assuming availability, which is usually quite good) and send them to you (for the right price of course)!

seats
Do you work for a dealer, or are you just someone willing to help us out? Being able to get performance seats might factor into which seats are ordered with the car. Why pay extra to order power seats with the car if you plan on replacing them with performace catalog seats anyway?

they look great and I thought it would be a must do... but the sports seat in the 135i was so supportive and comfy that I have crossed the performance seats off my mod list.

You do make a good point on the sports seats. They are VERY comfortable. The reason I would want the performance seats is *if* they're 50lb+ lighter each than the power sport seats. Not to mention, when you sell the car you can reinstall the "brand new" sport leather seats and sell the used performance seats.

No go on Canada either.
A dealer just informed me that it has something to do with the seat occupancy sensor as to the reason why they are not selling them in Canada. Not sure how reliable that is. |
