And here is what I am about to order...
This Saturday I'm placing my order for this:
My 135i Coupe 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine Rear-wheel drive See all standard features Base MSRP$34,900 Montego Blue Metallic$475 Lemon Boston Leather$0 High Gloss Black Trim$0 Premium Package$3,300 Sport Package$1,000 Comfort Access system$500 iPod and USB adapter$400 Premium hi-fi system$875 18" wheels w/performance tires (style 264)$0 Destination & Handling:$775 Total MSRP as Built$42,225 Am I missing something in the online thing that I should be thinking about? Like, the sport package, how are the seats different? And what is shadowline trim? This is my first post and all so bear with me. My company is getting this as a lease for me and I'm going to be selling my '05 Cooper S to a friend up in DC! I'm stoked! |

I am getting the same options except Alpine white -$475. And adding heated seats +$500. =$42,250.
The sports package is a must. MUCH better seats, a fantastic thick steering wheel, and black shadowline trim around the side windows instead of chrome. The options you chose are exactly like what I will order except I am adding heat to the leather, a must in Northern IL. PERFECT options IMO. IMO. I forgot the M on the steering wheel and a black leather shift knob with the sport package and a higher top speed. You will LOVE your great choices !!!!! I just noticed you live in SUNNY WARM Florida, so your choices ARE PERFECT. CONGRATS. |

With the Lemon leather it is not like the beige that makes everything that color correct? I like the contrast of the black and lemon on the inside of the car. I saw a picture of it like that, but I just wanted to make sure.
No heated seats here! If I got black it would be natural and basically I would get to leave some skin behind every time I got in the car... |

Dan,
I would get the HD radio, you can not add it after the fact. The only caution I would give is that the lemon interior can bu hard to keep clean and looking good.

What does the HD radio get me? Is it just that fact that I can receive HD radio broadcasts? Or does it upgrade other things along with that?
Is keeping the leather clean really that hard? Does it just take cleaning it once a week and treating it every few months? I currently have blue and black leather in my MINI. I know its a whole different beast, but I am diligent about cleaning anyway. The only issue would be if it just gets dirty and there is nothing you can do about it... |

Having detailed when I was in college, I can tell you the interiors we hated the most were light. The seats aren't that hard to keep looking nice, but the floor mat and foot area.....that was HORRIBLE to clean a lot of the time.
You just can't see how much dirt is there on black carpet--when we would wash the black carpet, we would always laugh about the dirt and grime that came out--but the carpet didn't look a whole lot different. Not the case with light (in your case, lemon) interior. You can see everything. Its similar to a black exterior on a car--looks the best when clean, but is a bitch to keep that way, and you can see every little imperfection easily.

Lemon seats are a pain... My mum has them in her 645i and they show every bit of dirt and do not clean easily nor well... Infact they are badly stained from sun tan lotion she wears while at tennis.
