Some cool, weird, and amazing facts about car colors!!
This is just a small sample from an interesting website that offers us some interesting facts about car colors. Not just the usual stuff. Some myths will definately be challenged here!
Swedish study shows black is a risky colour A study of 31,000 crashes in Sweden found that black cars were involved in 22.5% of the crashes even though black cars made up only 4.4% of the vehicle population. This means that black cars were 5 times more likely to crash. According to the same study, the safest car colour was pink. Research has also shown that

it's obvious that red cars exceed the speed limit more often, any red car is always a bit faster; we all knew that.
On a more serious note, there's not many true red cars out there, but I will keep an eye out for dirt levels on them to compare against black.

Hey Rearro... I notice under your name and avatar that you claim to drive a "135is".
Is the "s" there because it's plural, and you actually own more than one? Otherwise, please tell us what a "135is" is and where we can get one!! :eyebulge:

This one makes no sense:
Cars painted in metallic paint often cost more because metallic paint is harder to match when a car is being repaired. And amazing that a vehicle painted red white and blue would be more visible than one painted olive, as in camouflage. |

Silver cars hide the most dirt and red cars show the most dirt
The reason why I got silver. People asked me why I bought such a common color. Why? I don't have to wash it all the time. Well, I just put the 4th layer of zaino on today....

I have definitely been pulled over more often in my wife's red Prelude than any other car I have owned. I feel so conspicuous driving it.
