Need Help ASAP CDV Delete!!
Hey guys - how the hell do you fit a wrench in that small space to get a decent turn to tighten/loosen the damn bleed valve?! My car's sitting on ramps right now and I can't really fit the wrench in to get a turn in!
Mods: I think I duplicated this post by accident...

^^ +1 for Templedogg. I just stuck a wrench up there and didn't think twice about how. It just fit. I remember it not being that tight either, so even though the wrench is smaller, it wasn't difficult to loosen.

Had the same issue with friends install. You need to get a flexible screwdriver which has an adaptor for fitting small 12mm socket. Worked for me, just took 1 hour to find a shop that sold the flexible screwdriver wrench! Mad. p.s. I was able to bleed the clutch from below, just 2 very gentle depressions on the clutch pedal from a friend. 1st press and some air came out, 2nd press was only fluid. I used a proper hose clamp on the reservoir side, which really helped. |

Thanks, guys...The wrench was really tight fitting in; since I was stuck at my parents' garage and needed to get home, I ended up turning the bolt about 1/10 turn at a time by bringing in the wrench at an angle and bringing it perpendicular as I turned the bolt. I definitely stripped a bit of the edges as I turned, but eventually it got done.
Thankfully the mod was well worth it, but frustrating for a time there nonetheless.

Oh man, it's so much more freeing it's unbelievable.:roundel: It's better to the point where it's really frustrating that BMW even decided to make it as restricting as they did! Everyone MUST do this mod!
