There is no rear armrest. The ski bag option gives you a piece that "flops" down, but hardly can be used as an armrest. Do a search on the ski bag option to see pics.

At first when I saw the little fold down flap, I was like "WTF" what is this thing? Then I realized a rear armrest really isn't needed since my back seat might be used 3-5 times a year. BMW should of put an armrest in the back seat, but I don't care anyway.
