Rev limiter
When does your rev limiter kick in? I'm curious if everyone's cuts in at the same place and where that would be or if it varies on each car.
I decided to test mine today and after passing 7k they just kept rising. At about 7300 I decided to not push it any further and backed off without seeing any action from the limiter. (Reminder: Street racing is not welcome on this forum, don't talk about it in this thread) |

I've seen mine hit 8000rpm that was after a total loss of traction with the foot to the floor with DSC completely off in second gear, the fuel/spark probably cut well before that but the momentum swung the needle to 8K.

It is probably helpful to state the number of miles on your odometer also, because there are cars that that have a lowered rev limiter which is deactivated after a preset "break-in" period or when a certain number of miles is reached.
I have driven about 600 miles, and the limiter appears to prevent my car from passing 6900-7000. |
