Uh Oh... First time I didn't want to drive my 135i.

This last week was the very first time I just didn't really care whether or not I drove my 135i. Until that happened, I've always looked forward to driving it for any reason whatsoever.

I looked at it sitting there in the garage, and that usual spark just wasn't there... as it had always been before. I don't know what to make of it. Gosh, I hate to even admit it. I feel like I've betrayed my car somehow.

Has anyone else had this happen?... ya' know... experience a brief time when your 135i or 128i just somehow didn't seem all that special?

Cars are meant to be driven. Why is "he" put away for the winter?

^The hot rod is put away for the winter because the little fella' is prohibited from experiencing rain. I'm that way, plus, the alley behind my garage is mostly dirt.

Thank you so much for your service to our country.

The honeymoon is over, it seems.

So why not go order a JB3?

If the Carrera is still in the garage, then frankly I'm not surprised!

Go to Hertz and rent a Pontiac. Drive it for a day. Then get back to us.

LOL... That should put things in perspective!

No, it really wasn't because of the Porsche. I've decided to sell the 911, so I've put it in quarantine... LOL.

Maybe Thud and BlackjackMulligan are right when they suggest the honeymoon is over. I don't know. I had been thinking a lot about the M3 recently. I'm sure that hasn't helped at all.

I think I'll give the car a wash, and then take 'er for a good spirited drive. (after I rent that Pontiac like Lester suggested... haha.)

That might do the trick... Hopefully. I really don't want this car to be another "love 'em and leave 'em" scenario, as I've gone through too many cars like that.

This happened to me, too. I just couldn't get excited about driving the car and, unfortunately, the feeling didn't go away. Adding power didn't help, either. Adding power certainly made the car faster but it didn't add whatever was missing. So the car went away.

Call me a brute but when it gets wet and sloppy, icy or snowy, I reach for my keys, turn off traction control and drift every corner at 15mph. :P

Hey Tag,
Funny, I read your post just after I was looking at my 128 in the garage and felt the total opposite! I havent driven her more than 150 miles in last month with the crummy weather. Even tho Im a skier and live for the winter, seems this winter is already going slower than others, and I blame my 1.
Dont like hearing what your saying...that's the reason I gave my 325xi to the wife!
Unlike me, cant be your location, at least you can go topless, I cant take her top off for like another 3-4 months.
Sellers remorse for the porsche?

+1

I have felt like this since about May.

I am making an effort to keep the miles off of it in anticipation of a trade. The sooner the better for me.

Just need to talk the wife into it, but she likes the car unfortunately.

It is pretty decent in the snow though. We put the Dunlop M3's on it. Yay for even lamer handling. Ironically it's more balanced in handling with the winters on it, but ultimate grip is of course lower.

When you're tired of the 135i you're tired of life.
Time to call Dr. Kevrokian.

I didn't realize Dr. K, was a car guy...cool.

Can he...?

Make it quit understeering, make the car finally decide which end is going to get loose consistantly, bring the seat belt farther forward when retracted, move the window controls a bit more forward, give the car some vibration and feel so I can tell what RPM I am at without looking at the tach, make the iPod adaptor work in the same week I plug the device in, remove the CDV (yeh I guess I could do that one myself), turn off the Dynamic Brake Control, desensitize the passenger seatbelt sensor, make the stupid headlights quit vibrating, turn the volume of the turbo's up so I can hear them (just a bit at least), put in a real LSD, make it so the water (now salty water) doesn't drip off the car in the same one damn ugly spot, remove the sunroof because it buffets in some conditions when open (haven't figured out which airspeed/direction it is yet, won't till spring now), redo the center console, make it so when I don't want to use the Bluetooth speaker phone on a call...you can still change your radio station without completely turning off Bluetooth for that call, de(re)polarize the radio display so I don't need an ugly piece of plastic on it to see the display when wearing my sunglasses, reduce turbo lag of the supposedly "lagless" car (here's hoping for that software fix soon!).

Or maybe you meant he can kill the car for me so they are forced to lemon-law it so I can get something else? Now that would rock.

For sale feeler- 2008, SGM, 135i, premium, sport, black leather, aluminum trim, Dunlop M3 17" winters on rims, plus OEMS (like those tires are worth anything LOL), iPod adaptor.

PM me please, I am serious, after writing that, I realize how much I want to get rid of this car. I guess my write up won't help sell it though LOL, oh well, it's better to be honest.
