It references an "aerodynamic package".........what is that? is it different from the normal sport pack bodywork?

Taking the price into consideration, I'm guessing it is the regular bodykit that comes standard on the 135i.

Probably. They also included stuff in the package that comes with the normal SP like the steering wheel, sport seats, etc. I wish they would seperate it out. But for $100 over the regular SP on the vert, I would have taken it. Sigh.......

I probably wouldn't have gone for it just because I LOVE black on the 1er and (call me crazy) I don't really like the wheels that are included...

You can't get the MSport pkg with black? I thought that in order to get Le Mans you had to order MSport but that you could order MSport with other colors??

Can we assume that invoice on the package would be $1100 and $1200?

And does anyone have info on the tires? With the regular sport package checked it says performance run-flat tires, with the M package there is no mention of run-flats.

Well, I guess so - just like they could slap it on every other BMW series car with an M-pack. Heck, they could slap it on a Ford Pinto! Does that make them all M cars?

So for $200 more you get:
//M door sills
//M foot pedals
anthracite headliner (coupe)
different wheels

The convertible is $100 cheaper as it does not have the headliner. Personally I prefer the stock wheels to the ZMP wheels and I do not like the //M pedals. I got the //M door sills for under $100. So looks like I probably would not have ordered it even if it had been available. Although since LeMans Blue only comes with ZMP that would have changed my mind. If I had a coupe I probably would have ordered it just for the headliner.

Probably not as a factory option. I believe Dan@United sells them. I picked up the door sills for about $70 and several members here have installed the //M pedals after they bought the car. A search will turn up multiple pics and how-to threads. For the extra $200 (or $100 for a convertible), it is worth getting the ZMP if you want all the items in the package.

All the Aussie cars come with a lot of those items as standard. Mine was Oct build, AW with black, 261M wheels with run flats ///M sills, Anthracite Headliner, ///M steering wheel, ///M gear nob, ///M aerodynamic package and ///M sports suspension. Not sure what shadowline trim is.
Did not realise you guys were not getting the same, though I did notice your different wheels.

It's a black felt-like material. Softer than the standard headliner.

It has been offered on various BMW models for awhile.

The material is the same at the standard headliner in the 1er, just black in color. You may be thinking of the alcantara headliner in some of the M cars, which this is not.

How so? I've been enjoying my Year 1 of One car since March. This package is nice, but it's not really an M package in a true M-sense. It's merely some nice cosmetics added, nothing performance related. The steering wheel, aerodynamic kit, and shift knob, we already have. Also, note that this does not mention sport seats, which counters what was previously thought about the M package. That may very well mean that you'll have to get this package in addition to ZSP (sports package) to get the sport seats.

That is so awesome, if it is in fact the M Package are they going to have the "M" displayed on the outside of the car??? I really would hope not personally unless they add more Hp....

I think you are thinking this through a little too far, don't mistake an M Package for an M car. More of an appearance kit.

If I didn't think I would take an absolute beating on my car, I would sell it and re-order.....

edit: Having said that, I washed the car today and she looks as good as ever!!! Really, if I re-ordered I would only be getting the Lemans Blue, M-dead pedal (which I could buy), and the black headliner. Life isn't so bad, but I invested $1600 for the wheels and the door sills. Getting the '09 would get me the updated iDrive, which I wish I had...oh well. Maybe for the next car.
