Crimson red is fairly bad. I think solid colors are tougher than metallic. Silver, light grey, white, and other light colors are typically easier to maintain.

TiAg or SGM are what you want. The blues are bad, the black is a definite no if you're not going to wash it, the white isn't particularly great either, but hey...
your rims will be black long before the rest of your car. your doctor recommends that you wash. |

Montego is nowhere as bad as my Black Raven Cadillac was.
The easiest color for me was a dark silver e46 sedan. You could never tell if that thing was dirty. Second best is silver. White is ok, but because it is SO white, sap and other stuff like that can be a pain to get off the paint and is quite noticeable to my eyes.

I have to completely disagree with that statement...NOTHING is as bad as black. Montego Blue is actually pretty dirt tolerant...more so than white, black, and any other non-metallic colors. I chose MBM because of the dirt tolerance and of course it looks tight!!!

if this is what you do, definitely stay away from darker colors as you will get crazy swirl marks. best bet is probably AW... my last car was AW, and you couldn't tell it was filthy unless you were on top of it.

Whether or not a color of paint 'shows' the dirt or not, the acid, tar, tree sap, bird crap, grit and other harmful deposits stay on the paint, etching, scratching, swirling and generally ruining the finish. A month or so ago, I seen a white 335 parked on the street, someone who never washes his/her car - it looked like a urinal at a 24hr truck stop. All cars benefit from regular paint protection, and at least weekly hand washes with a microfiber mitt and good quality car wash product. Red is one color that needs regular treatments or it starts to turn grey.

+1 for space grey. In NC, been having a ton of rain, I live near a lot of road work and construction, and the SG really holds up well.
