I hope you are joking. I was refering to the directional air-ducts such as this one: http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/BMW-...duct_info.html

Although...if that scoop really is something that is "Another Great Part to Make your Car Looks Cool," then why wouldn't I get it?

I have a set of the riss racing red scoops I bought from another member on the forum. I have yet to install. I'll look for them in my garage tomorrow and I'll get back to you.

I'm also just down the road from you, sort of(south of Tucson)...

WHHHHYYYY???!!!! You went to the dark side!! ...or rather the light side. You know what, without hijacking my own thread, I honestly can't say that either of those cars are better looking that the other. I LOVE my BSM, and I LOVE AW. My decision was made because of the deal I got. Had I found the same deal on an AW...boy would I have been in trouble. Nice rides. Love the M-Sport wheels. I think I need to do that spoiler in back....

I have the stock airbox. Just ordered a drop in filter for it, and want a pair of air ducts. I have no plans for changing the intake. As I have found with my old STI's, intakes on factory F/I cars are mainly for form, rather than function. I realize that some of the intakes claim anywhere from 15-25hp gains, and I am sure it helps the car breathe a bit for top end, but it just isn't worth voiding my warrantee and losing the quiet ride of my bimmer.

Way I see it, with the scoops providing a bunch of rammed air at highway speeds, the airbox should always be full of plenty of fresh air for the turbos to pull. Plus, with AZ heat already in the 115's, I don't want my car breathing anything but outside air, which is why I plan to keep the stock airbox sealed up to the exterior ducting. Maybe I will change my mind down the road, but for now, it's scoops and high flow filter.
