2009 z4 3.0 gas mileage...yours?

Just curious what you guys are getting. please list your estimated city vs hwy with your mileage. i think it is officially listed as 29 hwy, so i would not be surprised if some of you with lots of hwy miles are getting 31-33 as bmw is known to be conservative.

Not a direct response, but FWIW, my 35i with DCT gets about 28-29 highway at 75-80 mph.

I am going to purchase the 3.0i in the Spring.
Did you get the upgraded radio? And if not how is the sound of the standard radio with the top up & down. Thanks!

Well I don'tknow if You're using mpg with usa gallon or Imperial....
anyway I wiull use km/lliter, then you will do your homeworks...
after 1500kms in town: 8-8.5 km/l
country roads:from 12 to 15 km/l depending from speed(70-110km/h)
highway: 130km/h I averaged little more than 10.5km/h...
1500km I used about 145liters of 100 octane petrol.
I believe that my car's engine has still to do some miles more , to give its best and give also right fuel comsumption figures....

After 3400 miles the average consumption of my 30i is 35 MPG = ~8 liters/100km (top up), 33 MPG = ~8,5 liters/100km(top down). High way 50% / quiet city driving 50%. Average speed is ~57km/hour ~35,6miles/hour.

By the way, the trip computer has an error of -0,4 liters/100km. This is the first BMW with this high in-accuracy.

Same here. 35i with DCT, took a 50 miles sedated highway drive, and computer said it was averaging 30 mpg. Nice to know it can be stingy on the petrol when not pushed.

30i manual, 29 mpg, sport mode, highways most.

Will normal mode have better mpg? perphaps Sport+?

Yeah - I was quite pleased with my 35i getting near 30mpg going near 80 mph! (And that was with cruise control on most of the time)

if you are just cruising on a highway at fairly constant speed, i don't think it would matter.
