My 2010 Z4 35i is at my local dealer!!!!

I got the call this morning from my salesman who told me that my Z4 arrived late yesterday. I was at the dealer in less than an hour and saw my car. It is unbelievable. I can't pick it up until next week because I am having the backs of the roll bars painted. He said that they usually break when taken off to install the wind screens so he feels confident that they will crack or break if they take them off to paint them. He ordered a set for me and they will paint them next week. The car was unpacked but not cleaned.

I can't wait to pick it up!

So what are the details? I'm sure they're in another thread somewhere but you need to keep us happy until we can see some pics.

Congrats. I hope you get it quickly.

I have orion silver as well, picking it up on Monday. I saw it last week, it exquisite!! My dealer told me I'm the first one to order this color from them, and they are the biggest in my city. So indeed, exclusive as well

I love it as well. I was looking for something different as most of my cars have been red and white. I also had an '03 Sterling Gray Z4 (loved that color) and an '06 Monaco Blue Z4.

My salesman said that when the car came off the truck and was surprised and had to go up to the window sticker to check the color as it looked different than it looked online.

He also told me that not only had he not sold an Orion Silver or saw one in person, but my Z4 was the first Z4 that he sold period. The dealer may have sold a few, but he had not. I bought both of my other Z4's from the same salesman. He said quite a few Z4 drivers that had leases recently end, came in and looked at the Z4, but when they saw how much more they had to put down to keep their payments the same, they ended up buying the Z4 they were driving.

Post pictures when you get your car! I have to wait because I am having the roll bars painted Orion silver. I saw a post where someone else had it done and I loved the look.

Thanks DrJason. I actually took a couple of pics yesterday, but the car wasn't cleaned up. He pulled it out front just so I could see it. I took some pictures of my '06 Monaco Blue next to the new one as well from all angles.

I hope we do get some top down driving weather, the winter is long enough as it is!!

It was dirty and the pictures wouldn't have done it justice. I will post the pictures of the old and the new after the unveiling!

I just brought mine into the dealership this morning and they installed my wind deflector and gave me back my old roll bars unbroken. I was able to snap the pieces back together. They told me to hold on to them in case I ever needed them that they are re-usable.

I thought that it seemed strange that they told me that emphatically, when I had not read one post of anyone having the roll bars damaged when removing them. From the beginning, I kind of got the impression that they were not to keen on painting them anyway. My salesman is picking up the tab because this is my third Z4 that I bought from him.

Not sure if they've changed the construction, but with E85 it was quite common that the clips broke when you removed the roll bar covers.
