Opine on ECU tune, por favor.
Looking to yank the ECU and get it tuned.
Relevant mods are as follows:
I visited the dyno database and saw quite a few AA tunes in there that seemed to be effective. What is *your* opinion about who does the finest tune (also, who does the most custom tune for altitude, fuel etc.)? If you were going to get a tune, would you go with Dinan? AA? Someone else? Note that money is not an issue, only end results. TIA. |

I did the AA tune about 3 weeks ago, and I like it. I did it in conjunction with the AA pulley and and filter replacement, so I cannot exactly say how much of the performance improvement was attributable to the tune alone, but what I can say is that this tune is extremely smooth. Idle is smoother, and much smoother through the revs. Engine response also was also significantly improved, and the car does feels quicker overall.

@jb-m3: Does it remove the electronic governor or raise the redline like the Dinan tune?

Didn't see Powerchip mentioned. Have you looked into that? I think the general consensus lately is that the Powerchip tune is the best available right now, which is why I'm getting flashed next week

i went with the Dinan Midpipe so i went with the Dinan software. i had the Dinan Software first. you don't have to take the ECU out like you do for AA and i am not sure if they still do it but AA was putting there stickers on your ECU. not cool to go to the dealer with that in my op.
My system has no cats and Dinans tune doesn't just shut off the CEL it takes care of it for the cats only so if something goes wrong otherwise the CEL will still come on for you where other tuners just shut the CEL off totally. not sure which do and which don't the Dinan may not be the most power but i think it is one of the safest and reliable tunes you can get out there and they have a great warranty i hear great things about the powerchip guys lots of threads hit a search and you will get alot of info and reviews

Wyatt- Yes to both. By the way, regardless of what people say about this software or that software, unless you change your midsection, a N/A tune is not gonna make all that much of a difference. You can't go wrong with AA or Powerchip, both will yield similar results.

Get the Powerchip and don't raise the redline.
